Malayalam movie ‘Eda’ starts box office journey on a decent note

Directed by illustrious filmmaker Ajith Kumar, new Malayalam movie ‘Eda’ kicked off its box office journey on a decent note. The Mollywood offering did not get the response which its makers were expecting before the official release. However, the celluloid has managed to face a satisfactory occupancy in some regions across Malayalam speaking state.

Opening to poor occupancy in the morning shows on Friday, Shane Nigam starrer latest romantic movie could not take a flying start to its box office itinerary. Failing to catch the attention of huge audience in noon shows, the film experienced stagnant occupancy. The public response did not increase in evening shows and the film collected low earnings by the end of first day.

Produced under the banner of ‘Delta Studio Production, the Malayalam movie was released in various theatres situated in Alappuzha and Cherthala. Experiencing low occupancy in morning, noon, evening and night shows, the comedy romance celluloid dragged very few spectators in the cinema halls. Response from the audiences remained steady throughout the day.

Though the new Malayalam movie was expected to gain bulky response from the movie-watchers in Eramallor and Ezhapunna, audiences responded to it with poor theatre occupancy. Failing to fascinate the public spectators residing in these regions, the newly released south Indian celluloid could not earn expected monetary profit at Malayalam box office.

Continuing to get a stagnant response from the public audiences in Kattanam, Nimisha Sajayan and Surabhi Lakshmi starrer new Mollywood flick could not generate handsome amount of revenue at India’s box office. The movie hit screens in Mullakal and exhibited moderate performance in the cinema halls. It could not catch the attention of maximum film-watchers in these areas.

Trying to get a strong hold in the cinema halls, Sharmilaa Rajaa’s latest production opened in the theatres located at Nooranadu and Karukachal. The Malayalam flick could not manage to register a satisfactory business in these arenas as low public response severely impacted its performance and did not help it in growing the overall business in Indian arena.

Unable to divulge the attention of major chunk of audiences in the cinema halls, Sudhi Koppa and Manikantan Achari starrer movie did not receive a good welcome in the theatres located at Kanhangad. Failing to fetch the attention of a plenteous audience in the cinema halls situated in Kasargod, the movie’s business remained stagnant on opening day. The film is expected to face surge in the earnings in final days of first weekend.
