Padmavat Movie 7 Weeks Box Office Collection
Bollywood movie ‘Padmavat’ earned Rs 300 crore total box office collection in two months. The epic drama film, which features Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles, made a total business of Rs 500 crore at worldwide box office. The trilingual Indian movie became the first highest grossing movie of the year and acquired first rank in the list of top earner Indian films of year 2018.
Directed by renowned filmmaker, music composer and producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali, ‘Padmavat’ movie started its box office journey in India on a higher note. Though the multi-starrer epic movie faced massive controversy over its script and wasn’t released in two states in the country, it received helm response from the audiences in other part of the nation. The Indian film earned a total income of Rs 166.50 crore in the opening week.
Continuing to showcase better performance at India’s box office, the Indian movie earned Rs 69.50 crore total income in the second week. Releasing worldwide on 25th January this year, ‘Padmavat’ movie witnessed little drop in the public response in third week and made a business of Rs 31.75 crore in that week. Facing box office competition Akshay Kumar starrer Bollywood movie ‘PadMan’, the epic drama film faced more decline in the response from audiences in Indian cinema halls and recorded a business of Rs 14.17 crore in fourth week.
In fifth week of release, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial earned an income of Rs 7.54 crore and made a total business of Rs 288 crore in 35 days. The film’s box office collection in sixth week of release was reported to be Rs 6.98 crore. The multi-starrer Indian movie made a collection of Rs 3.54 crore in seventh week at India’s box office. By the end of seventh week, the Indian film grossed a total income of Rs 300.26 crore on Indian box office. Latest box office numbers are awaited.
