Amidst the growing box office competition with the films released in the last week of September 2017, Malayalam film ‘Raamleela’ gained steady response and raked in a walloping income of Rs 13.5 crore. The multi-starrer south Indian celluloid earned this amount in five days. Directed by Arun Gopy, the new Malayalam release received a good response from the audiences in initial five days.
Showcasing an excellent performance at Indian box office, south Indian superstar Dileep starrer Malayalam movie earned a whopping amount of Rs 7 crore in opening weekend. Though the celluloid faced box office clashes with many south Indian films, it successfully gained a sufficient response from the movie-watchers and did satisfactory business in Kerala as well as in Malayalam speaking regions of the country.
Releasing on 28th September this year, the Malayalam offering started its box office journey on an average note. The movie’s business didn’t suffer a lot due to the box office clash with parallelly released bilingual film ‘Spyder’. Mahesh Babu starrer spy thriller cinema divulged the attention of maximum number of audiences and thus ‘Raamleela’ witnessed average theatre occupancy in first weekend.
Produced under the banner of ‘Mulapukkadam Films’, the political conspiracy thriller film reported decline in the audiences’ response on fifth day. On Monday, the celluloid couldn’t earn an expected box office collection. Witnessing gradual drop in the overall occupancy throughout the day, the movie collected comparatively lower business on day 5.
