Newly released Telugu movie ‘Okka Kshanam’ collected a total amount of Rs 7.60 crore in three days at Indian box office. Directed by popular filmmaker V I Anand, the south Indian celluloid minted Rs 1.23 crore at US box office and earned Rs 8.23 crore overall worldwide business in the first weekend.
Produced by Allu Arvind, the new Tollywood movie bagged Rs 2.51 crore income on opening day. Competing hard with the latest Bollywood film ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, the south Indian movie managed to receive sufficient public response on the first day of release. The Telugu film witnessed around 10-15% occupancy throughout first day.
After taking a decent start to box office journey, the south Indian movie faced slight increment in the response from audiences on following day. Showcasing better performance on next day, the Telugu movie amassed Rs 2.60 crore income on 2nd day of its release and totalled Rs 5.11 crore overall income in two days.
Produced under the banner of ‘Lakshi Narasimha Entertainments’, the south Indian celluloid experienced minute increase in the theatre occupancy. Gaining average response from the spectators, ‘Okka Kshanam’ movie collected Rs 2.85 crore on third day of release. The movie surpassed Rs 7 crore mark in three days.
Apart from earning a satisfactory income in domestic arena, the drama thriller movie witnessed moderate response from the people in foreign countries. In initial two days, the Telugu language film raked in Rs USD$ 77,464 (INR 49.45 lakhs) at US box office. The movie faced further growth in the earnings pocketed in weekend days.
