Based on the life of a mother, who struggles a lot in her day to day life, new Malayalam movie ‘Udaharanam Sujatha’ faced drastic reduction in the public response on fifth day of its release. Though the celluloid witnessed an average occupancy in the initial three days, it couldn’t continue to gain steady response from the audiences in week days. The movie collected a total income of Rs 0.313 crore in five days.
The film released on limited number of screens on 28th September this year and witnessed gradual increase in the public response from Thursday to Sunday. The celluloid received a good response on Sunday, but failed to get a similar one on following day i.e. Monday. In the first weekend, the Malayalam film witnessed continuous improvement in the audiences’ response.
Kicking off the box office journey on a decent note, the drama offering minted Rs 0.0176 crore on opening day. After opening with an average start, the movie witnessed surge in the theatre occupancy on next day and garnered Rs 0.0234 crore on second day of its release. With further growth in the earnings, the celluloid registered a business of Rs 0.0239 crore on third day.
Receiving steady response on fourth day, Phantom Parveen’s directorial project collected Rs 2.39 crore total amount on Indian box office. The movie didn’t release in overseas and thus it didn’t get any monetary profit in the international market. However, the movie is expected to perform well in the coming days as its storyline has impressed a good number of people.
