Uncle 4 Days Collection Total Box Office Business Worldwide Income Report : Malayalam superstar Mammootty starrer latest Malayalam movie ‘Uncle’ has garnered impressive earnings in the opening weekend. Releasing worldwide on limited number of screens on 27th April this year, the south Indian celluloid opened to decent occupancy in the cinema halls on opening day. The film is expected face steady decline in the public response on weekdays.

Facing box office clash with Mahesh Babu starrer ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’, which has completed almost ten days in Indian cinema halls, Mammootty starrer flick raked in an average income on first day of its release. It is not his first film to earn a single digit box office collection on the opening day. Some of the films of Mammootty have collected astounding earnings on first day of their releases. The latest celluloid of him is predicted to cross double digit box office mark by the end of 1st week of release.

The comedy drama movie, which has been directed by renonwed Indian filmmaker Girish Damodar, revolves around the bond that a seventeen-year-old girl shares with her father’s rather dubious friend, whom she fondly calls uncle. Receiving mixed reviews from the critics and also experiencing heavy competition against Kiara Advani and Prakash Raj starrer newly released Telugu offering, ‘Uncle’ movie seems to have struggled hard to attract a huge audience in the Malayalam cinema halls.

‘Parole’ was the previous Malayalam movie in which Mammootty had played the lead role. The multi-starrer celluloid, which featured Iniya, Miya, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Siddique and Prabhakar in the main roles, was released worldwide on 6th April this year. Directed by south Indian filmmaker Sharrath Sandith, the Malayalam language film failed to perform well at the box office. Mammootty’s new film is expected to not to disappoint his fans who weren’t gladdened to the box office performance of his previous movie.
