Receiving positive feedback from the audiences, newly released Marathi movie ‘Zindagi Virat’ witnessed average response in the cinema halls on day 4. However, the celluloid failed to meet filmmakers’ expectations as its raked in decent box office collection in the opening weekend. After the facing declined response in the initial three days, the movie witnessed further drop in the occupancy on 4th day.
Opening with poor performance, the comedy drama movie witnessed 2-3% occupancy in the morning shows on fourth day of its release in India. The theatre occupancy varied throughout the day and surged slightly in the noon and evening shows. Featuring Om Bhutkar, Bhalchandra Kadam and Kishor Kadam in leading roles, the Marathi offering reportedly minted Rs 0.03 crore total collection in 4 days.
Directed by renowned director Sumit Sanghamitra, the comedy drama flick recorded miserable business in overseas. Releasing on very few number of screens in the foreign countries, the film witnessed quite less response and earned no huge monetary profit in the international market. The celluloid faced massive box office competition in the global arena.
The movie not only observed huge box office race in the foreign nations but also faced similar situation at domestic platform. Latest Bollywood movie ‘Judwaa 2’ and adjacently released regional cinema ‘Baapjanma’ affected the movie’s business severely in India. The celluloid is expected to receive declined response in the first week and second weekend.
